Laparoscopic Surgery
The director of the hospital being a formally trained Surgical Gastroenterologist and Laparoscopic Surgeon, the Laparoscopic Surgery unit is one of the finest functioning units of its kinds in this region. Being also in fact the first, and the very few formally trained Laparoscopic Surgeons in this region, not picking up this art by experimentation and doing and learning, but though a rigorous three tier learning process over 3 yrs. in Lucknow, by learning and doing, our results are unsurpassed by any similar units near and far. We comfortably boast of ‘being the best in the market’ as regards Laparoscopic Surgery is concerned.
This reflects in our results of Laparoscopy as-
Zero % CBD injury rates (not even minor cystic stump or gallbladder bed leaks).
Zero % requirement of reinterventions for managing post cholecystectomy complications.
Zero % conversion rates to open cholecystectomy, which in fact are in negative figures (having laparoscopically completed procedures abandoned by other operators and referred to us).
We pledge the above facts are true and not bloated figures, God knows and our Anesthetists too.
Significant experience in taking up these procedures in VIP’s.
Extensive experience in taking up these procedures in high risk settings (cardiac co morbidity as post cardiac valve replacement / post CABG-Stenting IHD patients with compromised cardiac function, multiple medical co morbidities, acute cholecystitis, prior surgeries, obesity, old age patients) where skill and speed are mandatory.
We are equipped with the most modern laparoscopy equipment for delivering these results as-
Stryker High Definition Laparoscopic Set
Johnson & Johnson L & T High End Cautery
Johnson & Johnson Harmonic Scalpel and Vessel Sealer system
Branded critical working instruments
Our other highlights for the Laparoscopic Procedures are as follows-
All our laparoscopic procedures are being done under general anesthesia, as are the practices worldwide.
Strict asepsis is being practiced for these procedures. Zero presence of unsterilized components (cautery leads/ insufflation tubes etc.) on table during the procedure (believe me, this is a rare practice even in the supposedly best centres).
Strict adherence to 45mins. immersion time of instruments into Cidex (Johnson and Johnson) and not any of its cheaper substitutes, between two successive procedures.
Single time use and throw ETO sterilized OT drapes are being used for each procedure. No usage of rewashed and resterilized linen in our center for these procedures.
Hep B, Hep C, HIV cases not allowed entry into our routine OT. These cases (Hep B, and Hep C only after seroconversion with Interferon treatment), if to be taken up, are only done on weekends, in a separate OT, following which the OT is sealed for 48 hrs. The HIV procedures are dealt with more stringent protocols.
High quality surgical disposable products are being used with zero re-usage of Endotracheal Tubes, Suction Catheters, Surgical Sponges and Gauzes etc. We only use disposable ETO sterilized sponges and gauzes (and not indigenous/ in house made ones) for all interventions.
We are not accelerating discharge following surgery, doing it only when the patient is comfortable and expresses so. We do not treat Laparoscopic surgery as a ‘day care procedure’ at all.
As we are strictly adhering to the above said standards, we are not doing Laparoscopic Procedures as a Package procedure in Rs. 10,000/- as most centers are widely advertising.
We are not offering any commissions to the referring doctors on the expenses incurred by the patient for these or any other admissions.
We offer the following Laparoscopic Procedures-----
Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy
Laparoscopic Appendectomy
Laparoscopic Gynaecology-----LAVH/ TLH/ Laparoscopic Ovarian Cystectomy/ Laparoscopic Myomectomy/ Laparoscopic Ectopic Pregnancy management and Diagnostic Laparoscopy for Tubal Patency.
